These online learning initiatives provide access to high-quality courses from India’s premier institutions and leading global universities, enabling learners to study anytime and anywhere.
What is SWAYAM?
SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) is the Government of India’s national online learning platform, developed by the Ministry of Education. It provides free access to high-quality online courses designed by India’s leading educational institutions and subject experts. The platform aims to make quality education accessible to everyone, regardless of geographical or financial barriers. Most courses are free to learn, while learners who wish to obtain a certificate can appear for a proctored examination by paying the prescribed examination fee. Universities may also allow eligible SWAYAM courses for academic credit transfer in accordance with UGC regulations.
