National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC)
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an autonomous institution established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 1994 with its headquarters in Bengaluru, Karnataka. NAAC assesses and accredits Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across India to promote quality education, academic excellence, transparency, and continuous institutional improvement.
NAAC accreditation evaluates an institution’s overall performance based on its academic practices, governance, infrastructure, research, student support, extension activities, and quality assurance systems. The accreditation process encourages colleges to maintain high standards in teaching, learning, innovation, and institutional development.
