Cancellation of Admission :

  • Student desirous of cancelling the admission, for whatsoever reason, may apply in writing to the College Office along with a photocopy of fees receipt, original ID card, library card, etc.
  • The details like Roll No. Class, Division, Faculty and the reason for cancellation should be mentioned.
  • Fees will be refunded as per the University rules.
  • Being a Government College, there are set rules for fees refund which may lead to delay in the refund of fees.
  • Rules for Refunds of Fees :

    Refund of fees (aided and self financing courses)
    2859 : refund of tuition , development and all other fees after cancellation of admissions:
    The candidates who have taken admission in undergraduate courses in govt colleges in govt aided and unaided courses conducted by affiliated colleges, and recognized institution may request for refund of fees after applying in writing for cancellation of their admission to the courses. The refund of fees as applicable shall be made on or before 30th day after the date of cancellation and thereafter, the percentage of fees for the courses shall be refunded to the candidate after deducting charges as follows:

    Note:
    The Total amount to be considered for refunding fees from the commencement of the academic term of the course includes the following :

    1. All three items chargable for one year are as per the university circular for different faculties (excluding the courses for which the amount is fixed by the competent authorities.0
    2. The fees charged towards group insurance and all fee components to be paid as university share (including vice chanceloor fund, university fee for sports and cultural activities.E- charged, disaster management fund, exam fee and enrollment fee) are non refundable if payment is by the college prior to the date of cancellation.

    Minimum Attendance Rules :

    1. There shall be the Attendance Committee, for smooth conduct of this ordinance, in every college/ institute/Department of the University comprising of at least three members (to be nominated from other departments in case of the University Departments having less than 3 teachers), the Vice- Principal/ Senior Teacher (Convener) and at least two more teachers ensuriing representation of the concerned faculties, nominated by the Principal/Director/Head.
    2. Every bonafide learner shall ordinarily be allowed to keep terms for the given semester in a program of his enrolment, only if he fulfills at least seventy five percent (75%) of the attendance taken as an average of the total number of lectures, practicals, tutorials etc. wherein short and/or long excursions/ field visits/study tours organized by the college and supervised by the teachers as envisaged in the syllabus shall be credited to his attendance for the total no of periods which are otherwise delivered on the material day/s. Further it is mandatory for every learner to have min 50% attendance for each course & average attendance has to be 75%.
    3. The same ratio shall be applied for computing the attendance of the learners by crediting the number of periods which are missed while participating in an extracurricular/co-curricular activity/competition/ camp/ workshop/convention/symposium/seminar etc. where the said learner is officially representing the college/ University/ District/ State/ Country with the permission of the Principal /Director/ Head of the College/ Institute/ University Department or by the direction of the University Officer as the case may be wherein for the purpose of computing the average attendance the periods missed for what is envisaged here-in-above, at Sr. No 2, shall be deemed to have been attended by the said learner .
    4. Without prejudice to what is stated here-in-above, the Principal/Director/Head of the concerned College/ Institute/Department of the University shall be the competent authority to condone the absentee of any learner further up to additional 25%, if deemed fit and on recommendation of the attendance committee of the said college/Institute/Department of the University, wherein it is mandatory on the said committee to do natural justice by giving personal hearing to every learner falling short of minimum attendance for keeping terms and recommending case by case to the competent authority having verified the genuineness and gravity of the problem that justifies the learner to remain absent, which generally shall be limited to his own sickness, sickness of his parent, death of his parent etc. supported by valid evidence, documentary or otherwise.
    5. The attendance committee ensures that the attendance records are maintained in order and that the warning letters are issued to the defaulting learners at least twice in every semester & that in the first week of every month for the previous month default list it display on college notice board. If they are falling short of attendance while also displaying the list of defaulters declaring their respective attendance for the month. The defaulting learners should also be called (along with the parent/ guardian wherever necessary) to meet the Convener, attendance committee in the middle of the semester with a view to make the consequences adequately clear while understanding the difficulties if any and encouraging the learner to comply with the requirement of the attendance. Needless to say that the learners should be made aware of the provisions of the ordinances for attendance at the time of admission and an undertaking may be obtained from them (countersigned by the parent/ guardian wherever necessary) assuring regular attendance while understanding the consequences of defaulting.
    6. At the end of the semester on recommendation of the attendance committee the Principal/Director/ Head of the college/Institute/University Department shall display list of the learners who are not allowed to keep terms, allowing them to appeal to the Principal/Director/Head of the College/Institute/ Department of the University within 3 days from the date of display of the notice. After disposing the appeals the Principal/Director/Head shall intimate the same to the In-charge of Examinations/ the Controller of examinations to withdraw the examination forms of such defaulting learner sunder intimation to those learners ensuring that this communication reaches the concerned at least 10 clear days before the commencement of the respective examinations.
    7. The learners whose terms are not granted by the college/institute/department of the University can appeal to the controller of examinations, if desired, in a prescribed form and by paying fees prescribed by the Management Council within 3 days from the receipt of this intimation and that the controller of examinations shall arrange a hearing of the learners along with their concerned Principals/Directors/ Heads of the Department, represented in person or through a teacher nominated by them before the committee (one each for every faculty) nominated by the Management Council comprising of 3 members including the convener. The respective committees shall convey their decisions to the controller of examinations which shall be final and binding on the learners once accepted and communicated by the controller of examinations.

    Rules for Students :

    GENERAL RULES

     

    1. Students are expected to attend lectures, tutorials, and practical's punctually as per the time-table.
    2. The leave of absence on medical grounds should be sought on the basis of a medical certificate.
    3. The absence for a long time without necessary permission may result in default in attendance and the consequent loss of the term.
    4. Students are supposed to attend only the classes for the subjects for which they are enrolled.
    5. Students are expected to use the reading room facility during off lectures or gap between the two lectures.
    6. The entry of the students in the staff room is prohibited.
    7. Students are not supposed to approach press or any outside agency regarding matters without prior permission of the Principal.
    8. No organization of any kind should be formed, no fund raising should be undertaken, and no guest should be invited to address the students without prior permission of the Principal.
    9. No meeting of the students should be convened without prior permission of the Principal.
    10. Strike, bandh, Morcha, Gherao or any other activity harmful to the college discipline is prohibited.
    11. Large, festive gathering will be discouraged by the college. Instead, programmes, workshops / seminars devoted to personality development, vocational guidance, and preparation for competitive examinations, entrepreneurship development, career counseling and the like will be encouraged.
    12. The college authority will not be responsible for any picnic, social excursion without prior approval. The guardians are cautioned against any such things.
    13. In co-curricular, extracurricular activities students should act in consultation with and under the guidance of the professor –in-charge of the activity. Anything outside it will amount to in discipline.
    14. Every function organized in the college must have prior permission of the Principal.
    15. Rehearsals of different activities without the prior permission of the Principal are strictly prohibited.
    16. For routine office work the students are not expected to see the Principal. They should approach the Registrar of the college.
    17. Any damage to the college property like furniture, fans, switches, tubes, windoe panes, boards will be recovered from the errant students.
    18. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited and is a punishable offence as per law. A student involved in any criminal activity forfeits his/her admission. His/her admission will be cancelled immediately.
    19. Every student enrolled in the college is supposed to have read the rules and these rules will be binding on him/her so long as he/she is enrolled in the college.
    20. The nature and the quantum of punishment for violation of rules depend upon the nature of default and the decision of the authority.
    21. The discretionary powers to modify, cancel, postpone or interpret rules rest with the Principal.
    22. Students should read the notices displayed on the board regularly regarding matters concerning them. They are expected to act or comply within the timings /dates specified. No excuse for not reading the notices will be entertained.
    23. The powers to modify /interpret /add/delete rules rest with the Principal.
    24. Students should see the college notice board regularly for the purpose of the day to day working of the college.
    25. Students should not loiter in the college premises, while the classes are going on. Smoking and spitting are strictly prohibited in the college campus.
    26. Playing on mobiles and other electronic gadgets in the college campus is strictly prohibited.

    DISCIPLINE RULES

    1. The students are not allowed to stand in the corridors, when the lectures are going on in the classrooms.
    2. Loitering in the corridors or sitting on the railings is not allowed.
    3. The students should not make noise in the class –room in the absence of the teacher.
    4. The students should not sit or stand on the stairs.
    5. Making noise in front of the office and the staff-room is strictly prohibited.
    6. As soon as the classes are over the students are expected to leave the class-room.
    7. Rowdy behavior, arrogance, abusive –language, ragging, teasing, fighting, carrying any kind of weapon will be strictly treated as indiscipline. The follow-up punishment could be dismissal of such students.
    8. The students are not allowed to bring with them their friends, relatives or outsiders.
    9. Outsiders on the premises will be treated as trespassers and legal action must be taken against them.
    10. Failure to show identity cards to the security staff or the staff members on enquiry will be treated as lapse in discipline. It may entail fine or suitable disciplinary action.
    11. Smoking, pan-chewing, eating Ghutka or spitting is strictly prohibited on the premises.
    12. Plying vehicles on the premises in a manner that creates disturbances is prohibited.

    GYMKHANA RULES

    1. Gymkhana facilities are available to bonafide regular students only.
    2. The Gymkhana facilities can be availed on the production of I-card.
    3. The Gymkhana facilities should be utilized without causing any damage to them.
    4. In case there is damage caused, it will be recovered from the students involved.
    5. The Gymkhana facilities should be availed after the regular lectures or during free time only.

    IDENTITY CARDS

    1. Identity card is non-transferable.
    2. Every student must show the identity card as and when demanded.
    3. Non-production of the card entails fine as deemed fit by the Principal.
    4. If the Identity- Card is lost, the concerned student should apply for the duplicate identity card to the Principal.
    5. Every student must display his/her I-card.

    LIBRARY

    1. Every bonafide student is entitled to one library card.
    2. Only one book will be issued against it for a week and PG students will get three books for 15 days.
    3. Fine ` 1/- or more per day will be imposed for returning the book after the due date.
    4. The borrower should verify the book and bring it to the notice of the librarian if the book is torn or if there are markings or scribbled lines / words on the pages.
    5. The borrower will be held responsible for such things at the time of returning it and he /she will be penalized for it.
    6. A book taken on the identity card should be returned on the same day. The fine of Rs. 2 or more per day will be charged in case it is not returned.
    7. The library will remain closed on 2nd and 4th Saturdays.
    8. The issuing timings will be 10.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
    9. The book on demand may be requisitioned before the due date by the librarian.

    UNFAIR MEANS

    1. A candidate is liable to disciplinary /penal action for the use of unfair means at the examination.
    2. The following categories will be treated as unfair means during the examination
      1. To keep books, notes or pieces of paper with relevant points /answers scribbled on.
      2. To speak, communicate with other students or copy his/her answers.
      3. To disobey instructions of the supervisor/ the authority concerned with the examination.
      4. Behaviour giving rise to suspicion of copying.
    3. The supervisor/s is/are entitled to undertake physical search for copying material.
    4. The Unfair Means Committee will investigate the cases of unfair means.
    5. The quantum of punishment will be based on the following : In addition to the Board and University rules –
      1. Fine as deemed fit by the authority and /or
      2. (b) No admission to the college subsequently.
    6. If the examiners repot the suspicious cases in assessment of answer books the matter will be thoroughly investigated and necessary action will be taken against the guilty.
